Water Splats

I'm joining in on two different challenges today. The colors for Color Throwdown #289 are Perfect Plum, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi. I don't have Blushing Bride so I substituted Regal Rose.

To meet the requirements for Make It Monday #161 I used the "Watercolor Splats" technique that Nichole demonstrated and cut it up into squares for the background.  They are mounted on black cardstock then the white card base.  I used the Delightful Dahlia Additions stamp set for the flower and sentiment.  The white sentiment banner is stamped with black and mounted on black cardstock.  The flower is stamped with Regal Rose, the leaves with Wild Wasabi and they are hand cut.  I added the black dots to the center of the flower with a fine point black marker.

  1. I really like this card. You did a great job with the Watercolor splats and I love how you cut it up in squares and mounted them on black for a special look. Great work.
